Insulate your loft
By insulating your loft to the recommended depth of 270mm, you can save wasted energy and money.
In the same way that heat escapes your body through the top of your head, a lot of heat will be lost from your home out of the roof. It has been estimated that 25% of the warmth your house contains could be leaking from the loft.
Loft insulation is a straight-forward way to stop this process from occurring, and you can even fit it yourself. There are various forms of insulation available and its important to consider other factors, such as rot and damp. Talk to your local DIY store or consult a professional if you have any doubts or questions.
Loft insulation is a great way of saving large amounts of energy in your home with just one step so check if your loft is suitably insulated today.
