I bank with a well known high street bank and stopped my statements coming through the post over a year ago!

It is a lot easier to just log in online and check your accounts there and they are all available on the one page. I know that a lot of people are wary of online banking but I have been using it for years without any problems and if anything does happen you are covered by your bank anyway.

You can also move money from one account to the other online without having to go to the bank so it also saves you time and energy as well as a car journey so its even better for the environment than you might think.

Online banking is so much less hassle than having to file all those statements - who likes filing?!

You can do paperless billing for things like broadband provider, telephone and electricity too. AND you usually save a bit of money.

Now this is good news. Everyone wants to cut down on the paper work. In almost everything you do, the paper work is killer. You can wait up to a month. Some can get lost, some can be wrong and all kind of story`s. So less paper work is less stress.

This bank thing is very tricky. I am also a person that uses a lot the bank, because i get my paycheck from the bank, I borrow from the bank. But sometimes the bank can get to you and you don`t realize. Everyone thinks that banks must be trusted, but you can see that this is not correct. Some ATM`s are just a ripoff.

the only paper I have now is a cheque book

I do all my banking and bill paying on line, don't have any bills or statements sent out. this might be all very environmentally friendly but when i needed paperwork to hire a carpet cleaner the other month I didnt have what was needed ( ie a bill less than 3 months old with an address on it)

This is so much easier and quicker than waiting for paperwork. If you need a particular statement you can always print it out from your online bills.
I do virtually everything online now.
