Cut back on banking paperwork
Online banking services now give you a greener way to manage your finances without the need for huge amounts of paperwork.
How often do you currently receive bank statements through your letterbox? And, more to the point, how many of them do you actually need or even look at in any detail?
Most banks will now give you the choice of how frequently you want to receive your printed bank statements. Look to reduce the frequency with which the statements are sent to you.
Better still, look to cancel your paper statements altogether and manage all your account finances via an online banking service. Also cancel all the promotional mail from your bank advertising additional services, loans and credit cards that will normally go straight in the bin.
