Try to limit your shopping trips

Thursday, August 27, 2009, 08:23

Going shopping 4 times a week is just a waste of energy.

Do a big shop once a week instead of using up fuel to go every other day.

By planning ahead and creating a weekly shopping list of what you need, you’ll be able to cut down the number of trips you make to the supermarket. It’ll also mean that you’re less likely to have to ‘pop out’ to buy small items, therefore saving yourself fuel and a lot of time.

By going to the supermarket less you’ll be saving money on your fuel bill or bus fair. Having a list will also mean that you’re less likely to impulse buy and waste money on products or food that you don’t really need.

makes you think...

  • An average of 84 trips are taken to stock the pantry over a year, that is 94 hours and 55 minutes in the supermarket.
